Diego Bandido and Emma Harot

I was on a taxi last night, tuned in to Love Radio. Diego Bandido and Emma Harot – apparently they moved over from sister station Yes FM – were going to sing Aiza Seguerra’s “Pagdating ng Panahon”. Emma sings off-tune, intentionally. Are they making fun of karaoke? I thought. Diego sings better, but you know he’s not taking it seriously. Ahh, that’s the point, I thought, possibly overanalyzing it at that point. And then they sing together – the punchline being their beautiful harmony, “wagas na wagas” as their punchline goes, and at this rate you know what really happens. Diego changes the lyrics and, in typical masa radio fashion, gets close to saying something risque… only he does say suso after a raunchy alteration. The taxi driver and I, surprised, laughed out loud.
