“Shorley Wall” by Ooberman | Two days ago 6 Music played this song with a gentle start and a sweeping end – although, admittedly, I only caught the sweeping end, which I really should call the entrancing end, because of the girl talking in the end. Like a broken arrow, I’ll catch the tail wind and draw the clouds. Ooberman was formed in the mid-90s and broke up in 2003, only to reunite three years later. Their songs, well, you don’t really hear them anymore, but apparently the indie kids loved them. An underappreciated band, sure, since critical love didn’t lead to commercial success, and the YouTube comments for this video almost always mentioned Mark and Lard. It’s nice to discover these things now.
