“점핑 예 점핑 예 everybody.”

“Bar Bar Bar” by Crayon Pop | I once asked myself why I should like this song. No, I pondered why I should even listen to it. I gave it a shot once but it didn’t make any sense to me. I didn’t bother watching the whole thing. There’s not much singing in this song, and the singers did aegyo (the Korean word for cute) one hundred percent of the time. Their aegyo-ing kinda reminds me of Orange Caramel, a sub-unit of this girl group called After School. Back in 2010, the unit debuted with a single called “Magic Girl”, a cute song that they performed wearing candy outfits. It was like listening to J-pop, only with Korean lyrics. Something I had always wished for, by the way. Crayon Pop won an award on Music Bank last night and I was like “what!” I gave the girls a second chance and discovered what everyone’s been talking about: the cute choreography. I just wish they’d take those helmets off. [SY] (If you can’t watch the video we embedded, try this other official one.)
