Instrumentals we love, part twelve: A breather and a climax

“With You” by Cashmere Cat | I’ve long been meaning to write about this song on the blog. I mean, it’s been out and about for months, wiggling its way through specialist dance shows on Radio 1 and trying to break through the pop charts, or something. (Not to mention that the Norweigan producer Cashmere Cat, aka Magnus August Høiberg, has already released an EP before this came along.) Me, I really just like the way the climax hits the song – that long, cat-meow-like, err, sound, whatever that is. It’s a breather and a climax at the same time, and I find it entrancing, especially while walking through a busy commuter belt trying to find a ride home (which is how I first discovered this two months back). [NB]
