“I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist.”

“Chandelier” by Sia | I sort of dreaded this new Sia single. I know she wouldn’t be going back to her earlier sound. I was hoping it’d be similar to her 2010 album, We Are Born. I definitely had a feeling it’d be more pop, considering her recent work, writing songs for Rihanna and appearing in that David Guetta track. And here it is: “Chandelier”, a very Rihanna-esque ditty about swinging from a chandelier, like a monkey, perhaps, or Miley Cyrus on a wrecking ball. Everybody else will love this. Call me a hipster, or a pop-hating guy, but I just can’t get into this. At the very least, I will have to work hard to just appreciate it. I did see this coming, yes? Unfortunately, yes. [NB]
