“The catch of the day caught me.”

“Catch of the Day” by Sally Seltmann | The conversation I mentioned in yesterday’s blog entry was really an excuse to make Rainy listen to New Buffalo’s “Recovery”, a song that kept me sane through freshman year in college. She liked it, thankfully. Now, I’ve written about Sally Seltmann before: you might have encountered her as the co-writer of “1234”, the song that propelled Feist from Canadian indie darling to worldwide indie darling. (Or you might know her from that song off a Blackberry.) She’s just released her sixth album (and second under her married name), Hey Daydreamer, which includes this little bright tune. Now, I was supposed to write about another song: the station soon-to-be-formerly-known as Dig Music has “I Will Not Wear Your Wedding Ring” on rotation, but there’s no stream of that cute little ditty online, so I’m settling with this – and a mental note that I should find Sally’s CD when (or if) I go to Singapore later this year.
