“What’s been lost in time, I can’t replace.”

“Ungrowing” by Len Sander | There’ll be a bit of a theme on the blog for the next couple of days. First off, another submission from our friend Lukasz, this time from Zurich trip-hop act Len Sander. Nope, that’s not a person but a band, and they’re quite new: they only formed last year (although they have been performing under different names before, apparently) and their debut album, Phantom Garden, hits stores next month. “Ungrowing”, the lead single, is entrancing enough for me to not want it to end. I was listening along, looking up stuff about the band, when the song just ended and I was, all, “that’s it?” I did want more. It felt like it was going somewhere but, at the last minute, it backed out and went back to its shell. You get the allure of that, yes? [NB] (Have things I should hear? Drop me a line here.)
