“Were you the one I should marry?”

“Nothing About You” by Loop Line | A recommendation now from the latest compilation series from the folks at A Lonely Ghost Burning – we last featured them this May – and this one’s easy to misspell because you will tend to say “lines” rather than “line”. Released just two months back, the Wake EP from Minneapolis band Loop Line is some crunchy indie pop with a relatively unusual storyline. Or maybe it’s me having avoided all those soaps. The songs on the new compilation are mostly short, averaging around the three minute mark; “Nothing About You” is at two and a half minutes and it gets to the point. And a point it has. [NB] (Have things I should hear? Drop me a line here.)
