“I’ve got nothing left to say.”

“Black Man In A White World” by Michael Kiwanuka | First, a not-really-random fact: Michael Kiwanuka’s album is the first one we ever reviewed on this blog. That’s four years ago; now he’s back with a new album. Love & Hate will be released on 27 May, and judging from the first single off it, his vintage feel-good vibes go out the window somewhat, to be replaced by something more sweeping, more modern, but just as enjoyable. I’ll be honest, I had some apprehensions as this song started, but then it worked out fine. Quite fine. [NB]
