“It has a dying touch, oh my.”

“I Don’t Like Good-byes” by Jaël | Okay, let’s get back to the Europeans for a moment. I realized it’s been a few weeks since I last closely listened to the European stations, or at least closely enough to pick up something worth writing here. Here’s an interesting track from Swiss singer Jaël, aka Rahel Krebs, formerly of the band Lunik, which had this interesting trajectory from trip-hop to pop-rock before disbanding in 2013. Now she’s gone solo, and this song, released with her recent album Shuffle the Cards, manages to be the sort of pop tune that bangs the door and demands you let it in. Not hard enough, but with a sense of doom. Let me in, or else. All that merely means I like it. [NB]
