“And then it starts to feel unnatural.”

“Backbone” by Gold Complex | Sometimes it creeps me out how some of the regulars on my inbox know my tastes and sends over something that hits the spot so quickly. This one’s one of those songs. It’s the horns. It’s definitely the horns. The band’s called Gold Complex. They’re from Toronto, and they’ve just rereleased their eponymous EP before getting to work on their first full-length album. This one’s got a very good swing. Impact on the first bar, and keeps it going throughout. Really, the sort of act you wouldn’t notice, more so if it’s coming out of Canada. This one’s good, and I look forward for more. [NB] (Have things I should hear? Drop me a line here.)
