“Your World” by thanks. | Wait, wait, is this a response to recent events? The lyrics read like that. They can be a little heavy-handed, but you cannot deny how groovy this is. The band is called thanks. (yes, like that) and is composed of duo Steve Pagano and Mario Borgotta, who met at Berklee almost a decade back and have done music together since. Only now are they releasing a full-length, though: Colfax drops this summer, and if “Your World” is any indicator, it’s going to be cool and sublime. Funky, rising, not too dance-y but just dance-y enough to make you look like an acceptable dork in a world of cool people. Thumbs up. [NB] (Have things I should hear? Drop me a line here.)
