“When She’s Sober” by New Beat Fund | I have another Los Angeles band on the inbox, and it makes sense that I seem to like the adjective “languid” these days. This sounds lazy – all right, that’s mean; I really am thinking of “little effort” and “it sounds good nonetheless”. “Slacker”? I suck with adjectives. New Beat Fund is a trio composed of Jeffery Laliberte, Paul Laliberte and Shelby Archer. They’ve got a new EP, Chillanthropy Pt. 1, dropping soon, and if this song is any indicator it’s the sort of alternative you play while sprawled on the sofa. You’re relaxed and it all makes sense.
