“A Tattered Line of String” by the Postal Service | There’s a genius line on the YouTube comments for this particular video. “Who needs an owl when you have the Postal Service?” And it’s about time the Postal Service returned, if only because Adam Young is mooching off their sound and making a fortune. Unfortunately they’re not back with a new LP – they’re rereleasing their album Give Up as it marks ten years – but they do have this new song to speak for. “A Tattered Line of String” is classic Postal Service: an oddly groovy electro-based track with a quietly uplifting feel. Maybe this feels a bit too wobbly for my tastes, but hey, again, who needs an owl?
